The heart-warming response to Saturday’s Opera Gala at the Union has been tremendous. So many people telling people they had a wonderful experience. Credit to the stunning photography by Kylie Blakemore which was a critical plank of the three-month marketing campaign that helped ensure the Opera Gala was a box office smash. On stage, while the five performers were given a standing ovation, Lithgow City Council Mayor Maree Statham, asked the audience if producer Gaye MacFarlane should make the gala an annual event. The thunderous applause from the sell-out audience was a definite “yes”.
