After a short break, the Downunder Cigar Box Guitar Festival is excited to announce that it will be returning in 2027! While we know many of you have been eagerly awaiting its return, a combination of factors—including the organisers relocating, ongoing health challenges, and taking the time to regroup—meant the festival was placed on hold. The incredible success of BilliBoxFest in Billinudgel reminded us just how strong and passionate the cigar box guitar community is, with musicians, makers and fans coming together to celebrate the unique spirit of box guitar music. That enthusiasm has inspired us to bring Downunder back, bigger and better than ever. We can't wait to welcome everyone for another unforgettable celebration of blues, roots, rebels, and the wonderful world of cigar box guitars in 2027.
