A Gallery space dedicated to creatives working in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales.

We are now inviting exhibition proposals for the Jenny Dowell Gallery, a small but prominent space near the main Gallery entrance dedicated to showcasing artists from our region. With a large floor-to-ceiling, public-facing window, sited on the ground floor, the Gallery is highly visible to passers-by and audiences engaging in activities in the Lismore Quadrangle.

Exhibition proposals close on 28 August 2026.

About Sarah Ujmaia
Sarah is an artist and researcher based in Melbourne (Naarm), Australia. Her practice is largely informed by the wide-reaching impacts of forced displacement and cultural rewriting related to the diasporic experience. Applying translational processes, she regenerates motifs, images and linguistic structures in her material-led approach to image and object making.
