The Forage Christmas Wishes Collection is a series of small projects which can be used as decorations, hung on a tree, or kept inside the pouch.
🎄✨🎄✨🎄✨🎄
It’s called Christmas Wishes because we like to write a wish on a piece of paper, put in into a tiny envelope and pin it to a decoration. Maybe your family and loved ones could all write a wish - make it a yearly tradition!
🎄✨🎄✨🎄✨🎄
This is a set of 15 cards in A5 size which contains pattern instructions for 12 slow stitched decorations and a pouch to keep them in.
It also comes with template sheets and embroidery patterns.

Oooh it’s been a busy one my friends!!
Hope this Saturday morning finds you well…
Here’s a quick recap of some of the “good bits” from the last 7 days….

1-3: Julie’s finished “hearts” that she brought along to class last Saturday. I just love these little kits that we put together in little tins with all the ingredients! 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤

2.- I’ve been doing some stitching on old Japanese linen, and it’s so satisfying. 🧵

3.- our antique French monogram special event is on again tomorrow in our FLEA MARKET. 🪡

4.- Judith’s show and tell from last weekend.

5.- my Fuschia is flowering! Praise be! 🙌🏻

6.- FaceTime catch ups with our Wendy who is on hols….🌴

7.- this bush walk where I go each week with Violet is 🙌🏻

8-9: new fabric covered Tilda buttons. Love.

10: speaking of buttons…. These are one of my favourite Aussie natives. Billy buttons. 🟡

11: working on our Francophile project is my current fav project. 🇫🇷

Over the past five months we have been hosting a series of classes, both in our studio and as an online zoom class, called the “Francophile collection”.
We’ve been using iconic French themes from our beloved France as the inspiration for this project.
I thought you might like to see some examples from our sunflower theme. 🌻🌻🌻

With all the classes I teach I encourage the students to make the project “their own”.
What an absolute pleasure to work alongside these students as they experiment with textiles and stitching.
We have one more “meet up” in November to reveal the remaining two themes…. which seems awfully close…. I don’t want it to end!!!!!!!!!!!

We start a new project in 2027 which I’ve called “Tulipana”. Enrollments are now open and we’d love you to join us either in person or online!

It’s named after a sun-drenched country garden with a sweeping expanse of bright pink tulips.
This idyllic landscape, which exists in our imagination, will be the inspiration for our series of 4 monthly classes.

Our project will be created using our signature Forage style of combining simple stitches with reclaimed fabric.

We’re going to stitch a triptych of small (40x40cm) artworks which will be based upon a picturesque countryside scene - a blooming garden, a pond, a woodland all surround an ivy clad cottage.

We’re going to concentrate our attention on specific details in that scene and “magnify” them… zoom in, get closer and capture the small details that can be seen upon closer examination.

Our IN STUDIO classes for Semester 1, 2027 are now open for enrollment.

Our first offering is a brand new theme called “TULIPANA”.

It’s time to celebrate the 2026 stitching year with our annual Christmas Party!
This year we’ll kick off the celebrations with everyone doing a stitched Christmas decoration project together, followed by lunch, then the afternoon to relax, chat and stitch away!

🎄When: Sunday 13th December 2026, 11am - 4pm

🎄Where: Club Turramurra (Turramurra Bowling Club), 181 Bobbin Head Road, North Turramurra, NSW, 2074.

🎄What’s Happening: Christmas Lunch, Hand Stitched Christmas Decoration project, Pop Up Shop, Show and Tell.

🎄If you’re coming on your own there will be plenty of other welcoming people to sit and stitch with... or get a stitchy friend or two to come along with you!

🎄Drinks can be purchased from the bar.

⚜️We’re having a SPECIAL EVENT in our online Flea Market for the next two Sundays - 18th & 25th October .
⚜️We’ll be sharing a collection of our antique French monograms that have been collected by us, over many years of foraging in the brocantes and flea markets of Paris and southern France.
⚜️They are hand stitched treasures from yesteryear and we’ve salvaged them from household linens like bed sheets, tea towels, aprons, and table napery.

A mixed bag for a Sunday arvo that rounds off a rather topsy turvy week!
🍊- the smell of these cumquat blossoms currently blooming on our balcony is absolutely intoxicating!
🦆- watching Violet obsess over the ducks on the pond at the park is like seeing her ancestry come to life!
🌼- when your business partner brings you a bunch of nasturtiums (one of my very favourite flowers!) from her garden and puts it on your desk as a surprise…. so lovely.
🖼️- I had a bit of a shuffle around in my stitching room at home last weekend and now this old painting I found in Paris a couple of years ago is more prominent. It’s a beautiful feeling to fall in love with something all over again….
🏠- always love seeing progress pics of my students work! This one came through during the week and has me very excited about the CHRISTMAS COTTAGES class I’m hosting in our studio next Saturday.
🧵- I’ve been preparing the listings for a future event in our online flea market - it will be two weeks featuring antique and vintage monograms that we’ve found in France. Starts next Sunday 18th, and I’m so excited to share them!
☹️- I was sad to miss the day with our Saturday class yesterday. The “stand in” teacher (our Lara!) gave them an excellent report card!
Same for today’s SIT AND STITCH at the Turramurra bowling club…. So sorry I couldn’t be with you all….
🏥- the reason why I couldn’t be part of the fun over the last two days…. My Linda went into hospital for surgery on her spine. Nerve wracking!! But thankfully her surgeon was very happy with how everything went. Now she needs to rest and recover. And I need to take a big, deep breath and let go of the anxiety.
Think I might do some stitching…. IYKYK! 😉
