A new local ice hockey social group is starting to take shape at the Blue Mountains Ice Skating Rink! The Blue Mountains Goats are inviting interested players to come along to Stick & Puck where they will hold their first meet-up.

What is Stick & Puck?

A relaxed, non-contact session designed for anyone interested in trying ice hockey, improving their skills, and meeting like-minded people in a supportive environment.

No previous ice hockey experience is needed. Whether you’re stepping onto the ice with a hockey stick for the very first time or already have some experience, you’ll be welcome to join in at your own pace.

Getting Started

To help everyone enjoy the session safely, participants should feel reasonably comfortable moving around on skates. You don’t need to be an expert—just able to:

✅ Skate independently without assistance
✅ Move around the rink with confidence
✅ Come to a controlled stop when needed

If you’re new to hockey but can comfortably skate, this session is a great place to learn and have fun!

⛸️ Skates available for hire
🪖 Helmets available for hire
✔️ Own equipment welcome

Please Note:
🪖 Helmets are mandatory for all participants while on the ice.

Sydney Ice Theatre returns with a brand new ice show these winter school holidays!

✨60s Jukebox✨

Looking for the perfect affordable school holiday activity? Step back in time for a toe-tapping celebration of the 60s on ice. Starring national and state representative skaters, this family-friendly performance brings together classic jukebox vibes, retro costumes and dazzling figure skating at the picturesque Blue Mountains Ice Skating Rink.

Friday mornings just got better.

Coffee Club is our friendly, relaxed adults-only skating session at Blue Mountains Ice Skating Rink - perfect for anyone wanting to build their confidence on the ice, stay active, and meet new people along the way.

Whether you’re brand new to skating or already comfortable on the ice, this session is suited to all experience levels.

⌚️ Join us Fridays at 10am, come weekly or just when it suits you.

Your $25 rink entry includes a full 90-minute session, exclusive skating time with no crowds, support from an APSA accredited skating coach, skate and helmet hire if needed, plus a small coffee or hot drink at Sublime Lounge Cafe after skating.

New members are always welcome.

Stick & Puck is back on the ice next week! 🏒

Join us on Monday at 6pm for a relaxed, self-directed ice hockey session at Blue Mountains Ice Skating Rink.

Perfect for practising your skills, building confidence with a stick and puck, or jumping into a friendly 2v2 or half-court scrimmage.

Open to seasoned players and hockey newbies, with basic skating ability required, you’ll need to be able to skate independently and stop safely.

‼️ Stick & Puck runs fortnightly in Week B. Check the timetable before coming along.

$25 with your own gear
$30 with stick hire
Helmets are mandatory and available free of charge.
Other safety gear is up to you and BYO.
