DANCENFORCE 2014 Information
WELCOME TO DANCENFORCE! We LOVE dance and take pride in offering fun, friendly and exciting classes for all ages from pre-school to adult. CLASSES
All DANCENFORCE classes include Ballet, Jazz and Tap. Hip Hop becomes incorporated into class from a junior level. DANCENFORCE require a minimum of 4 students per class and classes with less than 4 students may be required
to combine with other groups. Nevertheless class sizes are kept at a manageable level to ensure that all students receive individual attention. All students are welcome and accepted into DANCENFORCE classes without audition, and if or when required additional classes will be introduced to ensure classes do not exceed a manageable level. TERM DATES
DANCENFORCE classes generally run in accordance with the school term however there are no classes on public holidays. In the event of bad weather or extreme heat classes will still run, however during such times classes will be modified accordingly.
2014 school term dates are as listed below and can be used as a guide for class dates. Term 1: 28 January to 4 April
Term 2: 22 April to 27 June
Term 3: 14 July to 19 September
Term 4: 6 October to 19 December
ENROLMENT
All students are required to fill in an enrolment form and pay a one off enrolment fee of $15 each year. This fee ensures that each student is covered by insurance and as such is non refundable. The enrolment fee must be paid in full prior to participation in normal classes (excluding free trial class). FEES
DANCENFORCE offers two fee options Casual and Term (Conditions apply for both payment options). Casual Fees
1hr class - $12 per class
1.5hr class - $18 per class
2hr Class - $24 per class
Conditions – The above prices are for group classes only. Pricing for private lessons differs and can be obtained from your DANCENFORCE teacher. Class payment must be received prior to the commencement of the class for those wishing to pay on a casual basis. Students wishing to pay on a casual basis must attend a minimum of 7 classes per term to be eligible to partake in presentations or performances including the end of year concert. Term Fees

Conditions - The above prices are for group classes only. Term fees must be received prior to the commencement of the second class of the term. Students who enroll mid way through a term who wish to pay on a term basis may receive the first term at a reduced (pro rata) rate, however all subsequent terms must be paid for in full and on a term basis. Term payments are non refundable regardless of the number of classes missed. DISCOUNTS
Family Discount
2 children = 10% discount on term fees.
3 children = 15% discount on term fees.
4+ children = 20% discount on term fees. There are no discounts offered for casual fee payments. EXPENSES
While every attempt is made to keep costs to a minimum in addition to enrolment and class fees there are some additional expenses to be mindful of. Uniform
• Uniform consists of:
• Black leotard or tight fitting black singlet
• Black leggings / black dance pants / black dance shorts / black wrap skirt
• Black Jumper / black cross over
Uniforms printed with the DANCENFORCE logo will be available in the coming weeks for purchase through your DANCENFORCE teacher; however you are not required to purchase these. For Health and Safety reason students are required to wear appropriate dance attire for every class. Students that attend class inappropriately dresses will be unable to participate. Shoes
• Pink ballet shoes
• Black tap shoes
• Black jazz shoes (excluding preschool and sub juniors)
• Black jazz sneakers or black canvas shoes (excluding preschool and sub juniors)
Students are required to have their own shoes which can be purchased through your DANCENFORCE teacher or dance supply store. It is recommended that students who do not wish to purchase shoes through their DANCENFORCE teacher attend Geelong Dance and Fairywear Supplies (67-69 Little Malop St Geelong, Ph: 52217311) and advise the sales assistant that they are a student at DANCENFORCE to ensure they are fitted correctly and receive any associated discounts. For Health and Safety reason students are required to wear appropriate dance footwear for every class. Students that attend class wearing inappropriately footwear will be unable to participate. Presentations and Performances
In addition to our annual concert, throughout the year students will be invited to participate in various public presentations or performances. None of the presentations or performances (including the annual concert) are compulsory, however students who wish to participate are required to purchase additional items (listed below) and pay an annual wardrobe fee. All costumes are provided by DANCENFORCE and will be made available to the student for the presentation / performance either in advance or on the day. Wardrobe Fees
Preschool / Sub-juniors - $40 (Minimum of 4 costumes)
Juniors - $50 (Minimum of 5 costumes)
Inters - $60 (Minimum of 6 costumes)
Seniors - $70 (Minimum of 6 costumes)
Additional items required for presentations or performances
• Pink ballet tights, Tan jazz/tap tights (Aprox $10 each)
• Hair pieces – prices range from aprox $20-$60 depending on the type of hair piece required (See your DANCENFORCE teacher for more info on the cost of hair pieces)
• Makeup – Stage makeup is no different to standard makeup, however you may require additional makeup to match the students skin tone. Photos and DVDs
All students that participate in presentations or performances will be given the option to attend a photo day where a professional photographer will take group and solo photos of the students in their costumes. Again it is not compulsory to attend these photo days, however if students do attend and would like to purchase the photos, they will be available for purchase on CD. Likewise all presentations or performances will be filmed, and subsequently copies will be made available for purchase on DVD. Ticket Costs
For students wishing to participate in presentations or performances please be mindful that in many instances parents/family/friends will be required to purchase tickets to view the performance. It is suggested that you enquire about the costs associated with tickets prior to deciding to participate in any presentation or performance. Travel Costs
For students wishing to participate in presentations or performances please be mindful that you may be required to travel to and from various locations. It is suggested that you enquire about the location prior to deciding to participate in any presentation or performance. Examinations
All students are offered the chance to learn and participate in examinations throughout the year, however examinations are not compulsory. Depending on the number of students that wish to partake in examination work students may be required to attend private lessons. DANCENFORCE currently offer examinations in Ballet, Jazz and Tap and teach the Australian Dance Vision syllabus. For additional information see your DANCENFORCE teacher. Fundraising
DANCENFORCE hold 2 fundraisers per year and we ask all students to participate (this includes students that do not wish to partake in presentations and performances). The money raised from the fundraiser contributes to the costs associated with our venue hire, end of year concert, costumes and trophies that are presented to all students at the end of the year.
