I would like to thank everyone who follows, comments, shares and puts up the thumbs up for my work👍. The feedback and support is very much appreciated. What's next ? With a couple of commissioned pieces being put back a little I have decided to get out the "to do" list. I have roughed out a sketch on the garage floor, so let's see how we go. In addition I will be doing somewhat of a tutorial video on the instant rust that gives the effect found on the majority of my work. I am always open to suggestions so feel free to throw a comment in on what you would like to see on the page, is it just the finished piece or more of the process? Let me know your thoughts. The latest commissioned piece made it to its forever home today. A seahorse dedicated to the new owners Dad, a carpenter and woodturner. As a tribute and memory it contains tools supplied to me that belonged to the customer's Dad, such as vintage drill bits, spanners and mesh commonly used on the old meat safes. The piece also contains old hand drill, cogs, fence strainer, plough tip and more. The heart in the centre of the seahorse is hand carved from huon pine and a lathe was used to turn the pedestal. I found along with the heart, the woodwork and lathe work really connected me to the story and tribute. Many Thanks to Jacqui for supporting my work and I hope it serves as a fitting tribute to the memory of your Dad. More pics and videos of the build to follow in the coming week.

After endless nights and weekends in the shed I have finally reached the finish line on the latest commissioned seahorse. Just the unveiling to go and I will be able to upload some pics and videos to the page. It's easily the most time I have put into any sculpture to date, so stay tuned for that one....hopefully in the next week or so.

Having recently sold the guitar sculpture I would like to thank Lindy for her purchase and supporting my work, very much appreciated.Here is a pic in its new home, I hope it continues to be a great conversational piece.

With metal sculpture being an after hours, part time gig for me I thought I would throw a plug in here for my weekday "9 to 5" job fitting Indoor and outdoor blinds for a service based business in Torquay. Onshore Blinds. Just over 12 months ago I was given an opportunity to get off the tools as a mechanic and start something new. It's still on the tools which I enjoy and working outside, in different locations every day has been an added benefit.
