For years I’ve wanted somewhere to go where I can watch footy with other dt tragics like myself, a place where I can bring my own beers and don’t have to pay ridiculous Perth pub prices where the cost of 2 pints almost buys me a carton, a place that’s not just my mates house with a handful of friends (some who hate dt and refuse to hear about scores), a place where you can meet other dt fans and t

alk about who the next ‘pig’ will be, or when the hell dt talk live will be filmed in Perth again! Then I realised I already have the perfect club house…..the rest is easy!!! So, I have a New York style warehouse in Leederville that will be the home of the Perth AFL Fantasy/DT club. Members will join the clubs open league (with head to head leagues in both fantasy and RDT to be set up prior to round 1) and will be able to come and watch a number of games each weekend live on the big screen with a sausage sizzle provided. We will also have a weekly meeting where there will be prizes for highest weekly score and of course an end of year prize for the overall winners!!! There will be a couple of meet up dates before the start of the footy season for members to meet each other, watch a NAB cup game or 2 and check out the clubhouse. We'll use this time to set up head to head leagues once we know final numbers. Season membership costs only $50 so get in quick and msg me on this page or email me to get the bank details!

Come down to the clubhouse for the first game of the season RICH v CARL this Thursday from 4pm (bounce down 4.20pm). DT Talk writer Jeppa will be there to give out advice. Half time bbq will be supplied but BYO drinks. Feel free to bring some mates along to check out the club if they are interested. Happy footy is back week!! (aka return to having no life due to complete consumption of afl and fantasy footy week)! A reminder that today the clubhouse will be open for those available to pop through. Here are the details for those who can make it to the WADT Club catch up tomorrow. Know it's late notice but hopefully those who are free can come along and watch the cricket world cup, have a BBQ, BYO drinks and even play some FIFA or other games on the big screen. Will be there till about 7pm so head on down and say hello and have a chat about how you're going in the lead up to Rd 1

Ok guys, am going to keep the WADT club going until I make my final decision, as it will probably take a few months to finalise everything and move, so plenty of time for weekly catch ups, footy, beers and of course DT/fantasy!!!!! Would love to arrange a meet up for one of the round 1 games, or even before as we'll need to set up some head to head leagues and see the club house and get to know some other DT news(legends) of Perth before the season fully kicks into gear!! Would love some feedback on your availability and ideas so please discuss in the comments! The first meet doesn't necessarily have to be for a game either

Apologies to everyone for my lack of correspondence over the last couple of weeks but I have been given an opportunity that has put a spanner in the works of the WADT club, I've been offered a job in Melbourne!!! I haven't decided yet whether I will be moving or not but if I do the club will have to be put on hold. I will be making my decision before round 1 and will refund the money to those who have paid if so. Will let you all know asap. This club is one of the major reasons I don't want to leave Perth, I was so excited about getting this started!! Being an adult sux sometimes haha!
