Opening Hours during School Terms:
• Grassed Area and BBQ's open from 9am to 6pm open, seven days a week
• Water areas CLOSED on MONDAY and TUESDAY
• Wet Play and Lagoon open from 10am to 6pm
• Weekdays, the Water Slides open from 2pm to 5:30pm
• Weekends, the Water Slides open from 11am to 5:30pm

Features
The Park consists of dry and wet recreational areas. The wet area consists of a swimming pool, 3 massive water slides, and a wet playground that is great for the little ones. The dry area consists of large grassed area, BBQs, play ground, a skate park and a half basketball court. The Park has lots of shaded areas including over the pool, the wet play area, the skate park and the grassed areas.

Thank you to everyone for your patience while we’ve had these areas closed for maintenance over the past few weeks. We really appreciate it!

We’re excited to say maintenance will be completed by the end of day today, with the park fully operational from Saturday 29th August! 🙌

Grass and BBQ areas open: 9am
Lagoon & Wet Play open: 10am
Slides open: 11am on weekends and 2pm on weekdays

Park is closed Monday/ Tuesday during the school term.

🚧 Lagoon & Wet Play Area Temporary Closure 🚧

Please note that the Lagoon and Wet Play Area will be temporarily closed for maintenance over the next few weeks while we complete essential works during the school term.

📅 Closure begins: Wednesday, 5 August
⏳ Expected duration: Approximately 3–4 weeks

To help everyone continue enjoying the park during this time, we'll be extending access to the slides:

🛝 Slides will operate Wednesday - Sunday from 10:00am, with last call at 5:30pm.

The park is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

These extended slide hours will only apply while the Lagoon and Wet Play Area are closed for maintenance.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we carry out these improvements. Please keep an eye on our socials for further updates!

Introducing our FREE outdoor event at Leanyer Recreational Park:

DROP IN!

This free, early evening outdoor event is about celebrating youth music and local creative culture.

The program features a lineup of emerging local artists alongside established youth acts, as well as artist markets and stalls run by young creatives. The event also activates the skatepark as a community hub, bringing together artists and audiences in a shared space.

The atmosphere is welcoming and community-focused, designed as a platform for young talent to connect and express themselves in a low-barrier space. This is an all-ages event and open to the public, so feel free to invite friends and family along.

What to Expect:
🌟 Live music performances
🌟 Youth-led market stalls
🌟 Dance performances
🌟 Photobooth

⚠️ LEANYER RECREATION PARK CLOSED ⚠️

Leanyer Recreation Park is temporarily closed due to a nearby bushfire.

Following advice from NT Fire and Rescue Service, the facility was evacuated as a precaution. All patrons and staff were safely evacuated and accounted for.

The safety of our visitors and staff is our highest priority. We are working closely with emergency services and will provide an update when it is safe to reopen the park.

Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and follow the directions and advice of emergency services.
