SHOW & TELL TUESDAY celebrates what would have been Buddy Holly's 90th birthday this week.

BUDDY The Buddy Holly Story was Directed by Belinda J King, Musical Direction by Matthew Dudfield & Natalie Hillier and Choreography by Dearbhla Gillen. The production told the story of the legendary Buddy Holly and the birth of Rock 'N Roll.

🎭 A Special Day for the Academy 🎶

Yesterday, our Academy members had the incredible opportunity to spend six hours in a masterclass with the wonderfully talented, and Head of Musical Theatre at VCA, Tyran Parke.

The workshop focused on acting through song, helping our students discover how to tell a story with authenticity, connect emotionally with lyrics, and bring every musical performance to life. It was an inspiring day filled with learning, creativity and plenty of unforgettable moments.

A huge thank you to Tyran for sharing your knowledge, passion and generosity with our students. We’re so grateful for your support of Encore Theatre Academy and the time you invested in our young performers.

We’re already looking forward to welcoming you back and working with you again very soon! ❤️

Last night our Academy students headed to the Albert Hall to support the opening night of Footloose by Launceston Grammar! 🕺✨

A huge congratulations to the incredible cast, crew and creative team on bringing this high energy production to life. What a way to kick off your season! We loved being there to cheer you on and celebrate young performers doing what they love

🎭✨ From Launceston's Princess Theatre stage to professional theatre on the big island!

We’re absolutely thrilled to congratulate Encore Theatre Company alumni Marina Grace Lee who is joining the cast of Elf The Musical at Crown Melbourne this Christmas! 🎄

Encore audiences will remember Marina lighting up the Princess stage as Roxie Hart in Chicago (2022) and Mary Delgardo in Jersey Boys (2022) - two fabulous performances that showed just what a thrilling emerging talent she is.

From all of us at Encore, congratulations Marina! We’re enormously proud of your Launnie achievements, and very excited for what lies ahead and will be cheering you on all the way.
