๐ŸŽ‰ We are turning 1 ๐ŸŽ‰

Ma-Thuwi is a Ngarrindjeri word meaning โ€œbossโ€, โ€œin control ofโ€, or โ€œtake charge.โ€ It continues to guide our purpose today, reminding us that at the heart of everything we do is self-determinationโ€”creating opportunities for Aboriginal people to lead, make decisions and shape their own futures.

To celebrate our first deadly year in operation, we have created a new look!
We are proud to introduce our new logo and the next chapter of Ma-Thuwi Aboriginal Corporation.

Our new logo reflects that journey. The flowing pathway symbolises opportunity and progress, while the native elements represent our enduring connection to culture and Country. Together, they reflect our commitment to creating positive outcomes for people, community and country.

Many of you supported Ma-Thuwi as we embarked on our first partnership program supporting an Aboriginal womenโ€™s arts collective and retail shop. Following the difficult decision to close shopfront during the River Murray algal bloom, something wonderful happened. Our artists continued to grow, building successful businesses and selling their work online, at local, regional and state markets, festivals and corporate events.

๐Ÿ’Ÿ Seeing our members become confident, independent entrepreneurs inspired us to reimagine the future of Ma-Thuwi.

Ma-Thuwi is an Aboriginal-led, community-controlled social enterprise. The arts remain an important part of who we are but our passion and expertise extends to our deep connection to country, and our responsibility to nurture it and make it/keep it well.

โœ… 2026 has bought us new partnership opportunities that strengthen culture, community and country but we are always open to creating new and meaningful connections.

๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ If you are a non-Aboriginal business and have a project in mind, send us an e-introduction.
๐Ÿ‘Œ๐ŸฝIf you are a First Nations woman who wants to connect, on any levelโ€ฆhit us up sis.
๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ If you are a not for profit and need a deadly grant writerโ€ฆinbox us!

We look forward to sharing our projects, celebrating our members and building new partnerships across South Australia.

Thank you for continuing the journey with us.

โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ Ma-Thuwi Aboriginal Corporation respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live, work and walk โ€“ the Peramangk, Ngarrandjeri and Kaurna Peoples โ€“ and acknowledge the many neighbouring Nations whose Countries connect across this region.
