Lake Bolac Eel Festival

The Lake Bolac Eel Festival is saddened to hear of the recent passing of Beth Cameron.

Beth has been involved with the Eel Festival since the first festival in 2005, contributing significantly in so many ways.

As well as volunteering for various rostered jobs during the festival weekend she generously provided accommodation in her home for artists and musicians during each festival, assisted with catering at various events and often provided the flowers from her much loved garden.

Beth was a great supporter of the Eel Festival, always willing to assist in any way she could to ensure its success.

She will be greatly missed and remembered fondly.

Our thoughts are with Beth’s family and friends at this very sad time.

Beth was a community champion and full of energy. She will be greatly missed.

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of a much-loved member of our Lake Bolac community, Beth Cameron.

Beth was one of those people who contributed so much to our community over many years — through the Golf Club, through her volunteering, and simply through the friendships and connections she made with so many people around Lake Bolac.

Her contribution to the Lake Bolac Golf Club in particular was enormous, both on the course and behind the scenes, and she gave countless hours of her time to supporting the club and the people within it.

But above all, Beth was a much-loved mum, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with her sons Dallas and Scotty, Glennis, her grandchildren, and all of Beth’s family and friends at this very sad time.

Beth will be greatly missed by many across our small community.

From all of us at the Lake Bolac Hotel & Brewery, we send our love to the Cameron family. ❤️

Two bark paintings (gifted to the women of Lake Bolac by artist Di Ford) and the Archie Roach photo. The Andre Sardonne work is on permanent display
in the computer room.
