My Irises painting received a Highly commended from the judges at the Mortlake Art show on the weekend.So happy with that

I have grown irises from the very first house we purchased over twenty years ago. I absolutely adore them. I thought I would paint them as they have been a joyful and important part of my life.

Finally an update on my Apollo Bay painting.I put it aside for a while and worked on other canvases
Sometimes I alternate between three pieces at once.It's by no means finished still got a lot to do on it.This is the story so far.

On our last holiday to The Otways we went on a day trip to Lorne. This is St Georges River in Lorne. As we were driving past this river I just had to stop and take some photos to be turned into a painting later on. I love the reflections in the lines of water. The colours were so bright and vivid. Just my thing.
