🩰 MEET THE ADJUDICATOR 🩰
With over 20 years of teaching experience, Kym brings a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for dance to the festival.
Kym holds teaching qualifications across Comdance, Acrobatic Arts and Aerial Arts, and a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Her physiotherapy background has shaped her strong focus on safe dance, injury prevention, strong technique and helping dancers develop confidence in their bodies and abilities.
She has previously owned a large regional dance studio in the Pilbara, Kym has had the privilege of teaching and mentoring dancers across a wide range of ages, abilities and backgrounds. Her experience spans many styles of dance, including ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, acrobatics and aerial arts. She currently teaches at Dance Fusion in Perth, where she continues to work across a variety of dance styles and age groups.
Kym was honoured to be named Studio Dance Teacher of the Year at the Australasian Dance Education Awards in both 2024 and 2025, recognising her contribution to dance education and her commitment to inspiring the next generation of dancers.
A passionate educator, Kym loves seeing dancers discover their own strengths, celebrate their achievements and most importantly, enjoy being on stage!
She is excited to be part of a festival that aims to create a supportive, encouraging and inspiring environment for every dancer and looks forward to enjoying some fantastic performances!
