An experience that feels like travelling to another time in history 🙏

A traditional Japanese tea ceremony at Hayabusa of Kuranda. This style of ceremony is centuries old.

Miwako shares this tradition with us, using antique bowls from Japan to prepare the tea, handmade Japanese Nerikiri sweets to enhance the tea's flavour and thoughtfully and intentionally picked seasonal flowers.

Bookings are required and can be made online with Hayabusa of Kuranda 🎌

Mondays are such lovely quiet days compared to the hustle & bustle of the weekends in the Kuranda Original Rainforest Market, which makes for great photographic moments too…

We met James O’Donnell from Cairns on his day trip to photograph the Kuranda Train* coming in on the Monday to Kuranda Village, so were doubly pleased to share some of our scenic garden views in the Marketplace and Morning Star in Fairy Lane with him. 😊🌺❤️

*Kuranda Scenic Railway, but no train as it was maintenance day.

Morning Star in Fairy Lane is Open too, with special gifts with every purchase, unique handcrafted weavings & jewellery, offering free fairy blessings for happy, safe & healthy travels.
Some of our Specialty Shops in our Market Arcade are trading, including B Gifted Kuranda, Tantrika, Healing of Mind & Soul, Harvest Holistic Hair, & a hot lunch from Phở Corner Kuranda was very much appreciated. (Update) And, we are feeling super blessed to know that AYA Earthfood are Opening their doors on Mondays & Tuesdays too. 😊❤️
