Two October birthstones. One tough choice. Are you team opal or team tourmaline? 👀✨

🌈 TEAM OPAL: shifting colours, rainbow flashes and serious sparkle.
💗 TEAM TOURMALINE: rosy hues, bold colour and plenty of personality.

A little gemstone trivia:
✨ Precious opal’s rainbow flashes come from light interacting with tiny silica spheres inside the stone. 95% of the world’s opals come from Australia and it’s our national gemstone.

🌸 Pink tourmaline is associated with love, compassion and gentleness- and has been used as a source of protection by travelling traders and tribes for centuries across the globe. A little meaning behind those beautiful pink hues.

While you’re off to Europe, your KFD family are raising a glass to you from afar. Thank you for everything you’ve built, the stories you share and the heart you bring to it all. You inspire us every day.

We hope your birthday trip to see friends and family gets off to a beautiful start with your wonderful hubby in Budapest. Happy birthday, Frauke Bolten Boshammer! 💕

They say money can’t buy happiness… but it can buy a pink diamond. And honestly, that feels pretty close. 💗💎

Just how rare are Argyle pink diamonds?

Across 37 years of mining, the Argyle Diamond Mine produced around 865 million carats of diamonds — yet just 1% were pink.

Those pink diamonds had a total volume of around 493 litres. Enough to fill just one large bathtub.

37 years. One extraordinary mine. One bathtub of pink. 💕

Colours of the Kimberley | Born from the landscape.

This World Tourism Day, we’re celebrating the place we’re lucky enough to call home.

The deep ochres of the ranges, the navy blues of the Ord, and the soft golds of spinifex country. The pinks, champagnes and warm earth tones found in the landscape — and in the diamonds beneath it.

For more than three decades, the colours and contrasts of the Kimberley have found their way into the pieces we create.

Born from the landscape. Handmade in the East Kimberley.
