Flashback Friday! Remember when Amazon removed 'The P*dophile’s Guide to Love & Pleasure: A Child-Lover’s Code of Conduct' from its on-line shopping platform back in 2010?

The e-book, by Phillip R Greaves, and available for Amazon's Kindle electronic reader, was an instructional manual teaching pedophiles how to evade laws protecting children and either not get caught or secure lighter sentences if they were.

Writing for ABC’s The Drum, our Movement Director Melinda Tankard Reist said:

"In using the term ‘pedos*xuals’, the book asserts that the sexual abuse of children (often their own children) is simply a s*xual preference.

"The book advises on how to find products similar to condoms for ‘boys younger than thirteen’. It gives advice on the best way to use images of children as ‘m*sturbation material’. It suggests the use of ‘any children you have actually been with, in the past’ in fantasies."

Amazon initially defended its sale of the guide – despite the corporate’s own policies prohibiting "offensive material", as well as content that "may lead to the production of an illegal item or illegal activity".

After a global protest and threats of boycott, Amazon finally delisted the book.

Thank you for joining us in speaking out!

“When all these men are typing in on their computer, [our campaign is] going to come up. We're going to change the narrative.”

Survivors Zoe Watts and Amanda Stanhope are speaking out after CNN exposed a 'global online r**e academy' where abuse against unconscious women was shared and normalised online.

Their survivor-led campaign is fighting back.

We stand with Zoe and Amanda, whose new campaign is exposing the online communities normalising violence against women.

We don’t wait. We act.

Collective Shout takes on industries profiting from the objectification of women and sexualisation of girls - and with your support, we get results.

We had 42 wins in 2025 alone and we’ve achieved this with a team of five women working part-time and backed by a community that refuses to stay silent.

We respond early. We push where others won’t. And we keep going when powerful industries would rather nobody challenged them.

If you believe women and girls deserve better than being reduced to products, props and clickbait, now is the time to back this movement.

For more than 16 years we've gone into the spaces where women and girls are being s*xually exploited – the platforms, the industries, the companies that would rather no one looked too closely.

If they've profited from exploiting the bodies of women and girls to make money, we've gone after them.

The p**n merchants. The Big Tech bros. The eCommerce platforms. The companies who think it's OK to sell anything using a woman's semi-naked body.

They all think it's acceptable to profit from s*xploitation.

But we say NO, it's not fine and we will stop you.

We go where companies hope no one is looking.

We go where others fear to tread.

We stare into the abyss so you don’t have to.

And we get results.

Your support keeps us independent, responsive and effective.

Just think what we could accomplish with more funding!

Your EOFY gift today will make a world free of s*xploitation possible - link in comments.

Content warning - “Paed*phile’s Guide”, s*xy toddlers, r*pe + inc*st titles and child s*x abuse dolls: A history of Amazon s*xual exploitation of women and children

We’ve been exposing e-commerce platform Amazon for profiting from s*xual exploitation since our inception, with our first campaign against the company in 2010.

In the years since, Amazon has continued to host products that s*xualise and s*xually exploit women and children and promote their degradation and abuse.

Here are just a few of the illegal or exploitative items we’ve found on Amazon over the years:

✅ The Ped*phile’s Guide to Love and Pleasure, an instructional eBook written by a paed*phile providing advice to predators on how to groom and s*xually abuse children without getting caught – initially defended by Amazon

✅ r*pe and inc*st p**n books promoting child s*xual abuse, particularly, fathers r*ping their daughters

✅ s*xy nurse outfits for toddlers

✅ an array of r*pe-themed merchandise

✅ p**nographic t-shirts (including ‘I heart oral’ kids tee)

✅ s*xy schoolgirl outfits for little girls

✅ child s*x abuse dolls – including a replica girl depicted bound and gagged, and s*x dolls modelled on toddlers

…and that’s just a brief snapshot.

Continuing to sell illegal child s*x abuse dolls is entirely consistent with Amazon’s culture of s*xually exploiting women and children for profit – portraying children and even infants as s*xually desirable or s*xually available, or as secretly desiring and enjoying s*xual abuse.

Take action today (link in comments).

"Sweeney’s Euphoria OF baby cosplay eroticising and normalising sexual fantasies for children": Movement Director Melinda Tankard Reist on the childification of young women.

Euphoria’s promiscuous baby scene eroticises and normalises sexual fantasies for children – my comment on the trivialisation of the sexual gaze applied to infants on the MTR blog today.

There’s been a massive backlash to Sydney Sweeney's Euphoria character cosplaying as a promiscuous baby for her Only F*ns. Rightly so. Creating baby-themed ‘erotic content’ to fund your $50k wedding flowers was taking s*x pozzie my-body-as-ATM philosophy a bit too far.

But in the global meltdown over the HBO Max series 3 trailer depicting Sweeney in pink frilly top, white nappy and sucking a dummy in ‘happy baby’ pose, what shouldn’t be missed is that infantilisation content is a big money spinner on monetised platforms where paying subscribers pay for women’s commodified bodies.

And swathes of these men are happy to fork out big bucks for childified f*tish content…

Cassie’s baby scene isn’t an outlier. It is reflective of the demand for child fantasy material fuelling a demand for actual children…

Cassie’s baby feeds a paedophilic aesthetic, popularises the childification of young women and blurs the boundaries between adult and child.

In the competitive eco system of digital platforms, toxic algorithms and the (sexual) attention economy, it is this content which rises to the top. In so doing, it contributes to mass de-sensitisation and trivialisation of dangerous s*xual interests. Women and girls are morphed into explicit genres to fill every appetite and the global tally of victims races ever onward.

Flashback Friday! Remember when we got Durty Nelly’s Irish Pub to pull down their sexist sign earlier in 2021?

The sign featured two glasses positioned to be suggestive of a woman’s breasts, alongside the objectifying double entendre “the perfect pair”. Reducing women to their body parts, using objects as stand-ins for women’s bodies and using women’s breasts to sell an unrelated product are all classic examples of sexual objectification.

When we first approached Durty Nelly’s, they claimed it was an old ad campaign and that they “no longer actively use” the sign – despite it being displayed prominently out the front of their venue.

We also tracked down the ad agency which came up with the concept- their response makes the pub's intention clear:

"Durty Nelly’s wanted some concept advertising with a big message. So we’ve combined, big pints, two hands and two... ;)"

After more complaints from supporters, the venue dumped the signage.

Thank you to all of those who spoke up – we couldn’t do this work without you.
