Tas Laser Skirmish

Tas Laser Skirmish Tasmania's largest premier outdoor Laser Tag venue. Played on bush fields with cool forts, much like a live computer game.

Suitable for Adults, Kids and Family's. Great for kids parties right through to corporate team building. Players are kitted up with army camouflage clothing and provided with a choice of laser tag guns from our armoury. We have smaller guns like our Scorpion right through to our Morita Sniper Rifle with real telescopic scopes. We play in bush terrain with log barriers, cool forts and bunkers. Ou

tdoor laser skirmish can best be described as a cross between paintball and your traditional indoor laser tag facility. We cater for all occasions, whether it's a children's birthday party, bucks day, corporate team building event or you are simply looking for things to do in Hobart. Our main field is located at Kingston, just 10 minutes from the Hobart CBD. We also have a northern field available located at Forth, Fulton Park. We also provide mobile laser tag, and have a portable inflatable field available for hire. This can be setup indoors or outdoors and is ideal for school groups, school fairs and youth events. Being accredited tourism operators we aim to provide our customers with the best adventure activity possible, therefore we only use commercial quality equipment. So If you are looking to reward your staff or looking for a different Christmas party this year, then get your work force or group together and experience Tas Laser Skirmish.

Tasmania became the only state to cite an international massacre as part of the justification for banning toys in public schools. Yet after a massacre on home soil, the Premier seems unwilling to seriously strengthen real firearm laws.

How can this government justify being tougher on laser tag than on real guns?

Tasmanians deserve a straight answer.

Today, Premier Jeremy Rockliff released the proposed changes to the Fi****ms Act in response to the Bondi attack, stating:

“From the start, we have said that we would work through this in a considered and commonsense way, with community safety at the forefront.”

I support a considered and commonsense approach.

However, in 2019 following the Christchurch tragedy, the Tasmanian Government moved immediately to restrict laser tag in public schools.

At that time, Jeremy Rockliff was the Minister for Education, and those changes were implemented under his portfolio.

There was no consultation with industry.
No opportunity to present evidence.
No compensation for small businesses impacted.

At that time, there were no equivalent legislative changes made to real firearm laws in Tasmania.

As I write this, I am in Victoria running laser tag programs in public primary schools. No other Australian state adopted Tasmania’s position that laser tag required restriction in schools.

When paintball was legalised, the argument was that Tasmania should not stand apart from the rest of the country.

Yet Tasmania became the only state to restrict laser tag in public schools.

Policy consistency matters.
Consultation should apply equally.

We couldn’t fit 22 years of moments, memories, and amazing people into one video… but these snapshots tell a little of the story that meant so much to us.

As this year comes to a close, so does a chapter that has shaped our lives for 22 incredible years.

To every player, staff member, family, and supporter who walked onto our field, thank you! You are the reason this journey mattered, and the reason it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Here’s to the memories, the laughter, and the time of our lives 💚

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Back in 2003 when we founded Tas Laser Skirmish, we never realised we would still be here in 2025. It’s been an absolute pleasure to host events for you all.

Well after 22 years of running around in the bush we have sold Tas Laser Skirmish. We kicked off in 2003 and did not expect this ride to last two decades, but here we are. We found our home at The Lea Scout Centre in Kingston. The Scouts have been incredibly supportive. I have worked with many boar
