We had to bail out on our last stage appearance at the Crows Nest Country Music Festival Qld because Sonya was having recurring problems with her old guitar that we couldn't seem to resolve so a trip to Royce Music House in Toowoomba resulted in coming away with a new guitar that she is keen to get broken in for her style of playing.

Thanks Joy for inviting us to join in the fun at the crows nest pub open mike while we are here for the Crows Nest Country Music Festival Qld
Wonderful to be having fun playing music and meeting new people.

It's always fun when you dig up some old footage from years ago. We set up against the building across from the pub to get some footage for our YouTube channel. It was ridiculously hot...we don't do that sort of stuff anymore now we are officially pensioners 😂

This year we have been on the road, travelling, camping out of our Toyota van and camper trailer. It's a bit of an investment to set up Solar power for off-grid capabilities, but for us, it's been worthwhile.

It's still not as efficient a system as I would like, but as long as we get sunny days and run it properly, we can produce enough to make life comfortable.
We have run all our power requirements for PA and sound gear for past gigs.

When we are camping, we run 2 Engel fridges, charge all our personal gear like phone and tablet. The lights and shower are 12V, and the inverter powers up the 240 appliances that we have, such as our electric blankets, which I think we are going to need for our next outing at the Crows Nest Country Music Festival Qld, starting next week.

The , the ultimate... let's make a noise and have fun musical instrument without needing a lot of musical talent... that's why I play it. All you need is enthusiasm and a sense of rhythm, and you're off to fun and sharing rhythms around a campfire.

My excuse for having a beer was that I needed the bottle caps for spare parts, and so it came to pass as I repaired the lagerphone after its not-so-gentle handling during our tour of different festivals.

I probably have a few more bottle caps than needed, but it always pays to be prepared LOL 🤣🤣

We decided to turn a practise sesion into a quick advertising video. It features a new I am playing and an old Australian tune that we love

Getting ready for the Crows Nest Country Music Festival, Qld, fixing all the bits and pieces in our camping setup that seem to break when you start using the gear constantly. Ripped canvas, broken fittings, etc.

It also gives us a chance to upgrade little things that make a difference to our live music presentation.

I have recently introduced the or . The instrument is known by many names around the world, as it is recognised as one of the oldest instruments played by many cultures.

One of the little upgrades is that I found the harp uncomfortable for me to hold for longer periods of playing, so I made a handle that makes it more comfortable to hold.

Sonya's guitar has to visit the guitar doctor, Glen, at Royce Music House so there's plenty to keep us occupied.

Checking out on the way back from a great time at Wee Waa Cotton Capital Country Music Muster and the to see if it's worth bringing our boat up for a sailing camping trip and suggest a Warwick Sailing Club trip away.

So far look great even at only 50% capacity.

We are camping at the Free campsite at the dam watching an awesome sunset and getting the fishing lines ready.
