✨ What an unforgettable afternoon at the Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra 2026 Concerto Competition! ✨
Congratulations to all of our outstanding finalists, whose dedication, musicianship and artistry made this year’s competition truly exceptional. Every soloist performed with remarkable confidence and musical maturity, creating an inspiring afternoon for everyone in the audience.
A huge congratulations to Connie Liu, our 2026 Overall Winner, and to all of our finalists – Christina Bhang, Leon Spikmans, Jaemin Yoo, Jeffrey D**g and Kiara Morish*ta-Lee – for sharing such memorable performances.
One of the most meaningful reflections from the day came from adjudicator Dimity Hall, who said:
“You are so lucky to get this experience, to perform with an orchestra like this; it is just an incredible step up for you.”
This competition is much more than selecting a winner. It’s about providing young musicians with the rare opportunity to perform major concerto repertoire with a full symphony orchestra, supported by an incredible community of conductors, teachers, volunteers, adjudicators, families and audience members.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the day possible, especially our conductor Paul, our wonderful host Vanessa, our adjudicators Dimity Hall and Joshua Batty, our dedicated orchestra members, volunteers and supporters. Together you’ve created an experience that will stay with these young musicians for years to come.
Congratulations to every performer—you should all be incredibly proud. 🎻🎶 Photo credit to New Point of View, Reza Bhageri. 📸
