Gabrielle Adamik & Cinnamon Lee

Working with glass, metal, light and shade, Gabrielle Adamik and CINNAMON LEE explore the shifting relationship between object and shadow.

Adamik’s clear glass works feature recurring eyes, while Lee’s perforated metal works trap and release points of light. Together, their works invite us to look more closely at what we see and what we may have learned to overlook.

For Sean, the work is also deeply personal. A chance to once again collaborate with his mentor Robert Foster, drawing on the skills, craftsmanship and creativity they shared while working together.

Responsive to the slightest disturbance, Ingás shifts and moves within the space, reflecting Robert’s playful approach to making and experimentation.

Created for STILL MAKING, Sabine Pagan’s Landsedge draws on the form of FINK’s iconic Rock Pools bowls, bringing together Robert Foster’s press forging process with Pagan’s own exploration of surface and mark making.

Inspired by the constant movement between land and water, the work captures traces of the shoreline ripples, tidal markings and impressions that appear, shift and disappear with the tide.

At the heart of Landsedge is a shared curiosity for materials, process and the natural world, and a celebration of Robert Foster’s enduring influence.

Across the three works, mesh, anodised aluminium and riveted surfaces are brought together in different configurations, shifting between transparency, colour and reflection.

Functional and sculptural, the familiar form of the bowl becomes something new.

Erica Seccombe’s work for STILL MAKING draws on Robert Foster’s love of tropical fish tanks, filled with extraordinary coral forms, colour and texture.

Each beaker represents a year without her dear friend Robbie.

Through making, experimenting and simply “mucking around”, Erica found herself reconnecting with Robert’s endless curiosity and love of play.

“I could hear Robbie’s voice in my head saying, ‘What are you doing it like that for?’ It made me laugh and reminded me how much he loved to play.”

Larah Nott’s works for Still Making draw on Robert Foster’s love of the marine environment, reflecting on the way water can shift our sense of time and place.

Robert’s influence extended well beyond the objects he made. As a teacher and mentor, he encouraged artists to push ideas further, embrace risk and trust the process of making. That generosity continues to be felt in Larah Nott practice today.

Covert Kimono sees CINNAMON LEE apply her Covert methodology to Robert Foster’s iconic Kimono Lamp for Fink_australia .

One hundred sterling silver and gold plated moths gather across the aluminium pendant light. Each pair can be collected as earrings or worn as a lapel pin, leaving behind a small perforation in the lamp, echoing the delicate traces a moth might leave on a treasured kimono.

With every moth collected, the work quietly transforms. Every piece acquired becomes part of its story.

The complete light and the individual moths are available to collect.
