Youth Mental Health First Aid Equips adults who teach, care for, or support young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to a young person experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis.
Upskill so you can:
๐ Intervene early an recognise the warning signs
๐ Reduce stigma for young people with mental health problems
๐ Improve confidence in providing first aid
๐ Respond in a crisis cross a range of situations
๐ Offer support and have an open conversations
๐ Improve knowledge of mental illnesses, their treatments and appropriate first aid strategies
Become a MHFAider:
Adults who complete the course become Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAiders), equipped with the knowledge, confidence and skills to provide young people with mental health information and support when it matters most.
Complete a short assessment at the end of the course to become an Accredited Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider). Accreditations are valid for 3 years.
