New Splash Pad for the Tamariki of Porirua – Porirua City Council

A high flow water system, usually only installed in swimming pools, enabled the installation of a big tipping bucket so children can get really drenched all year round, something specifically asked for by the local children in the consultation process. An acid-edged concrete surface in a flat concrete area at Aotea Lagoon is slip-free, easy to clean and doesn’t need replacing, making it safer, more cost-effective and fully accessible.
