These large scale works were made during lockdown, when I worked in isolation. I am so completely at ease working in large scale it is physical and an instinctive way of painting, it feels so right. The scale is my full bodily engagement with the surface, allowing movement, repetition, removal and restraint to. Looking back now, I can see that these paintings now are marked an important shift in the evolution of my practice.
