😔Unfortunately, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to cancel this Saturday’s Summit RollRacing + Drags event due to the worsening weather forecast.
Conditions were looking promising until last night, but the currect forecast now shows stronger winds and a high chance of a fair amount of rain throughout the day.
We’ve received plenty of messages regarding the weather, and we completely understand everyone’s keen to run. Unfortunately, the weather is beyond our control, and all we can do is make the best and safest decision for everyone involved.
Please understand we can’t wait until an hour before the event to make the call. Staff, security, safety crews, ambulance services, cleaners, catering and many others all need to be confirmed well in advance.
Cancelling is never an easy decision—we would much rather be at the track running the event with you. We know it’s disappointing for racers, spectators and everyone who has made plans to attend, and we genuinely appreciate your understanding.
It’s Melbourne weather doing what it does! On a positive note, the weather is slowly improving, and we’re confident there are some great racing days ahead.
