The KIOSK is the new home of Blue Mountains Artists’ Studios, situated in a scenic location in the Blue Mountains overlooking Jamison Valley and Mt Solitary. The project has been established through the temporary activation of a historic building, Katoomba Falls Kiosk in Katoomba, in a joint initiative of Modern Art Projects (MAP) and Toolo as a creative development program for Blue Mountains arti

sts. Blue Mountains City Council has assisted the project through the provision of the building on a short-term basis. The KIOSK will support contemporary arts production and cultural engagement by providing an effective, collegial and supportive environment for artists to create new works, exchange ideas, collaborate and engage with the Blue Mountains community. The KIOSK will present a public program of events and exhibitions throughout 2017. State Government funding has been sought to develop the artists’ residency program which will run until the end of January 2018.
