Jams and Preserves
Boiling up a beautiful batch of marmalade? Got a row of perfectly clear jelly sitting on your windowsill? It's time to let them shine at the Katherine and district Show this 17th & 18th July!
From sweet seasonal fruits to savory relishes and pickles, our Jams & Preserves section is looking for the best flavours our region has to offer.
How to Enter:
Make sure you lock in your entries online by 8:00 PM on Wednesday, 8th July.
Secure your spot in the pavilion here: Show Classes - Katherine & District Show Society
Jams & Preserves Drop-Off Info:
• To be dropped off between 10am – 12:30pm on Thursday 16 July 2026
• All entries must be in screw top jars, preserving type jars, or bottles with lids; of 250 ml or greater.
• Attach (sticky tape or glue etc) the nomination slip to the BASE of the jar or bottle with the entry number showing.
• Write the entry number on the lid. Please loosen the lid, no wax tops or fabric covers.
• PLEASE NAME THE VARIETY OF JAM/PRESERVE.
• Make sure All Jam & Preserve jars can me opened any that cannot be opened will not be judged.
• There is nothing quite like the pride of seeing your own jar sitting on the show display with a prize card on top. Let's make this year's display the biggest and brightest yet!

Shout out to the team at Mac's Hire.

Get in store to see all that they have on offer. They help me with all my show baking making sure that big bottle of gas at my house is full, and they deliver! Got my son a welding helmet for his birthday....didn't improve his welding skills, but his eyes are being looked after.

Say hello to the cheekiest little peanut in the Northern Territory… Meet Peanut Pete!

Peanut Pete LOVES the Katherine Show — the animals, the rides, the food stalls, and especially the Pavilions. This year, this mischievous little peanut sneaks into the Pavilions and hides somewhere new. Why? Because he wants kids to explore all the amazing displays the community has created.

🌟 Show Weekend 17th and 18th July
Kids can pick up their very own Pavilion Passport from the Pavilion Stewards.
Find Peanut Pete, explore the exhibits, collect stamps, and complete the adventure.

It’s fun, it’s free, and it’s the perfect way for little explorers to enjoy the magic of the Katherine Show.
