🎨 THIS WEEK’S ART PROMPT: REPEATING PATTERNS 🎨

Repetition, rhythm and pattern

Think geometric shapes, leaves, flowers, shells, lines, textures, tiles — or anything else you can imagine repeating across your artwork.

You could keep your pattern perfectly uniform, gradually change the shapes and colours, or let the pattern evolve into something completely unexpected. ✨

Join us tomorrow for two hours of creative practice at KALC

Creating art in itself is a calm practice.. so just showing up last night filled the brief!

🎨 Calling local artists and makers!

Have a creative skill you’d love to share with others? Karratha Creatives would love to hear from you.

We’re inviting local artists to express their interest in leading a learning session for our community. Your idea could be a hands-on introduction to your medium, a chance to explore a particular technique, or something we haven’t even thought of yet!

If you’re passionate about what you make and interested in helping others give it a go, we’d love to start a conversation.

We’re keen to hear ideas from across Karratha and the surrounding Pilbara. Tell us what you’d like to teach, who it would suit and what you’d need to make it happen.

✨ Share your idea here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScnb4aeM73v4VmWSHvHopv2xWKGuF20r287woUqovIMvM9JZA/viewform

Filling in the form is simply an expression of interest. We can’t wait to see what our local creative community brings to the table.

In a world full of busy movement and busy thoughts… what does calm look like to you? 🌿

Is it glassy water on a magic day out on the boat?
Sitting in your favourite coffee shop with a book in hand?
Sitting quietly on the beach, listening to the waves?
A slow morning with a cup of coffee?
A quiet moment in the garden?

This week’s artistic prompt is ‘Calm’.

There’s no right or wrong way to interpret it — just think about the places, moments, colours and feelings that bring you a sense of calm, and let that inspire your creation. 🎨

Join us Wednesday night for Create Night — two hours to slow down, unwind and create.
