Something a little bit different - a few months ago my lovely friend showed me felt embroidery. I’ve had some fun recently and this is just two of a few projects I’ve been slowing stitching on. Two keyring tags. I freehand designed, stitched, created bias binding, double folded and sewn together.

Are they perfect? No. However I enjoyed it and created something unique and fun!

Finished a few weeks ago, however just been so busy! Long pair of 4ply socks knitted up for a friend and their work boots.

Lots of socks on the needles, as they are great for the treadmill and traveling. 🧶🩷

\\ SALTY DAYS //

My Salty Day Sweater by Kutovakika is finished.

I knit this one using Bendigo Woollen Mills Dolce yarn, and I’m so happy with how it turned out. The yarn is wonderfully soft with beautiful drape, making it perfect for a cosy everyday sweater.

A relaxing knit and a wardrobe staple I’ll be reaching for often. 🩷

One of the absolute joys of knitting is getting to be part of a pattern’s journey, and I recently had the pleasure of test knitting the beautiful The Iso pattern by aka Nora Knits.

I chose a luxurious merino silk yarn from Life in the Long Grass, purchased from Skein Sisters, and it was a dream to work with. The softness, drape, and subtle sheen of the yarn paired perfectly with the elegant design, making every stitch a pleasure.

Being part of the test knit community is always such a rewarding experience. It’s wonderful to see a pattern come to life, connect with other makers, and contribute to the creative process. Thank you to aka Nora Knits for the opportunity to knit this stunning design.

A simple and beautiful Sophie Scarf

Knitted using a natural possum merino - so light but warm.

The yarn was less than 80grams and it was left overs from a previous garment knit. I do love using as much as I can.

Yarn: possum merino in the natural undyed yarn

Finally made it to the grid ✨

I finished this crochet hexagon cardigan at the end of last year, and it’s been patiently waiting for its moment. Now the weather has cooled and I’ve started to wear it, I’m in love.

Made using Abbey Road cotton from Spotlight, and honestly I’m so happy with how it worked up - soft, breathable, and perfect for layering.

This piece was was fun to create. Two simple hexagons turn into something wearable still feels a bit like magic.

Took me a while to share it, but maybe it just needed the right moment 🤎
