One of the absolute joys of knitting is getting to be part of a pattern’s journey, and I recently had the pleasure of test knitting the beautiful The Iso pattern by aka Nora Knits.

I chose a luxurious merino silk yarn from Life in the Long Grass, purchased from Skein Sisters, and it was a dream to work with. The softness, drape, and subtle sheen of the yarn paired perfectly with the elegant design, making every stitch a pleasure.

Being part of the test knit community is always such a rewarding experience. It’s wonderful to see a pattern come to life, connect with other makers, and contribute to the creative process. Thank you to aka Nora Knits for the opportunity to knit this stunning design.

A simple and beautiful Sophie Scarf

Knitted using a natural possum merino - so light but warm.

The yarn was less than 80grams and it was left overs from a previous garment knit. I do love using as much as I can.

Yarn: possum merino in the natural undyed yarn

Finally made it to the grid ✨

I finished this crochet hexagon cardigan at the end of last year, and it’s been patiently waiting for its moment. Now the weather has cooled and I’ve started to wear it, I’m in love.

Made using Abbey Road cotton from Spotlight, and honestly I’m so happy with how it worked up - soft, breathable, and perfect for layering.

This piece was was fun to create. Two simple hexagons turn into something wearable still feels a bit like magic.

Took me a while to share it, but maybe it just needed the right moment 🤎

Finished these cozy socks a few weeks ago and finally getting around to sharing them 🧦✨

Made with Pairfect yarn from Regia, which made matching them so satisfying. I knit these for my partner to wear to work. Practical, comfy, and made with love 💛

Rainbows, clouds, and a little handmade magic 🌈☁️✨

These cozy socks came to life using leftover yarn from Rachel Harris . Proof that even the smallest scraps can turn into something special. I paired the bright colours with contrast cuffs, heels, and toes in an undyed stellina for that subtle sparkle and warmth.
There’s something extra comforting about slow stitches as the weather cools… sock season is finally here 🧦💛

Slow makes it special 🤍

I’ve finished sewing the Chloe blouse using a soft linen, and she’s officially part of my handmade wardrobe. This one definitely pushed me a little - as someone still fairly new to garment sewing, I found parts of the pattern a bit tricky to follow. But that’s all part of the process, right?
Taking my time, unpicking stitches (more than once 😅), and learning as I go is what makes each piece feel even more meaningful. There’s something so comforting about creating clothes with your own two hands - especially in fabrics as light and breathable as this.
Here’s to slow fashion, cosy makes, and improving one project at a time ✨

These are fun, bright and have already been great to wear.
