🌺 You are never too old to learn about your culture through song and dance. 🌺

Our adult Vasega Moana was made up of parents, aunties, uncles and grandparents who embarked on a 10-week journey to learn, connect and celebrate their culture through Pese and Siva. ❤️

We proudly concluded this journey with our inaugural Vasega Moana Showcase — a beautiful celebration of culture, connection, courage and community.

It is so lovely to see the students of and making use of the gifts we were able to share during our visit to Samoa in July. 🇼🇸❤️

St Peter Chanel has since refurbished their library, and Malaga Fa’atasi were incredibly grateful to receive a generous collection of library books from Undurba State School to help add to and enrich their library resources.

Levoyce also generously donated sports equipment for the students to enjoy and keep active during their sports activities.

This is a beautiful reminder of the impact that community, generosity and giving back can have. What may seem like a small contribution can make a meaningful difference to our children and communities.

Fa’afetai tele lava to everyone who contributed and helped us make this possible. ❤️

Meet Dae-Leigh Ioapo, 11 years old, proudly representing the villages of Salelologa, Matautu Lefaga, Iva, Moata’a, Faleapuna, and Vailele.

“E mamae le tava’e i ona fulu.”

Like the Tava’e bird, which takes great pride in caring for its feathers, this proverb reminds us to cherish and uphold the values, culture, and identity entrusted to us. Through humility, respect, and service, Daeleigh Ioapo proudly carries the heritage of her ancestors with grace and dignity.
Thank you for igniting this passion and guiding our young ones throughout the Ava ceremony held at -uta primary school. 🙌
