KALGOORLIE -BOULDER COMMUNITY FAIR SOCIETY INC
The Fair Society is seeking a group or business to Provide cleaning services for the 2021 Community Fair.

Dates: Monday 22 March 2021 through to Monday 29 March 2021

Times:
Tuesday 22 March 10am & 5pm (2 cleans)
Wednesday 23 March 10am -3pm (continuous cleaning)
Thursday 24 March 10am – 4pm (continuous)
Friday 26 March 9am to 10pm (continuous)
Saturday 27 March 8am to 10pm
Sunday 28 March 9am -12 noon General cleanup
Monday 29 March Final Clean prior to handover of grounds back to City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder
Requirements:

• To maintain the Ablution Blocks, disabled toilet, Portable toilets (18 portaloos) and other designated areas, which include ticket boxes, stage areas, Fair Administration Office, Parents room, tables, chairs that have had spillages on them during the 2021 Community Fair.
• Ensure that the areas are clean and rubbish free at all times, and that floors are clean, toilet paper and hand towel checked and replenished, wash floors.
• Fair Office: Toilets, office, kitchen are clean and toilet paper and hand towels are restocked and bins emptied. Floors mopped.
• Toilet paper, Hand towels, cleaning materials will be provided.
• At all times COVID Marshalls will be monitoring all areas of required compliance and the successful contractor will be responsible for ensuring staff take heed of instructions when issued.
• There is to be a Minimum of 2 staff members to be present on the grounds at all times during the following hours

• NOTE: The times could change depending on and specific stipulation upon approval of the COVID plan

we are very excited to announce that Supersonic Science will be at the two days of the Fair in 20221.

Supersonic Science are extremely excited to be bringing our science lab to the 2021 Kalgoorlie Boulder Community Fair. Children (and adults) can look forward to 2 full days of hands on activities including CO2 Rockets, Supersonic Slime, Bubbleology, Supersonic Snow, Toroidal Vortices and much more! We might even be lucky enough to see Scientist Alesha blowing an incredible fireball!

Activities will be on rotation throughout the 2 day event and the children will be super excited to hear that they have the opportunity to take their Supersonic Slime and Snow home with them!

Morgan James (Mr. Ricochet) is back with a brand new act - A show for kids to take their parents to!

A One Man Circus is a blend of physical comedy, spinning plates and world class juggling skill which specialises in the unique circus prop, the Diabolo. A One Man Circus is guaranteed to captivate, amaze and leave you wanting more.

An absolutely hilarious, unique and talented performer, Morgan James will have the crowd in stitches with his magnetic larrikin personality, random wit and skilfully executed circus acts. A show for the whole family with an unforgettable laugh. An all-round first class show and a true delight to see Morgan James doing what he does best!

International Superstar, Morgan James (Fringe World Award Winner 2018) has performed for Presidents, Prime Ministers and Royalty - this is family variety at it’s best and cannot be missed!

This show is hilarious! It was great to watch the kids memorized by the awesome circus tricks, laughing all the time and then going absolutely crazy with the spinning plates! Great fun for the whole family!

The AGM has been held and we're ready to go!
Committee for 2021 - all elected unopposed
President; Sue Davey
Vice President: Gerald Roadnight
Secretary: Esther Roadnight (Esther had indicated she was not standing this year. She only came on Board to help build the Fair back up, but after the disruption involved with COVID she felt it would be unfair to stand down so has indicated she will be Secretary for 2021 Fair then stand down) This means the Fair Society will be seeking a Secretary moving forward from the 2021 fair.
Treasurer: Malcolm Hamilton. We welcome Malcolm to the committee.
All memberships are now due. $2 membership fee. All members are encouraged to attend meetings and NEW members are encouraged to come along.
Remember Many hands make light work!
65th Fair will take place on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 March 2021
Hours 12noon to 10pm Friday
10am-10pm Saturday
Entry $5 per person per day (under 6 Free) no concessions
First meeting Wednesday 22 July at 6pm in the Fair Office at Cruickshank Sports Arena

in a NORMAL year we would all be getting ready to go to the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community Fair over the next 2 days.

Not only are you missing out on enjoying this Iconic event. Sponsors, Exhibitors, entertainers, stallholders etc etc are missing out.

The VOLUNTEER committee who have been working since May 2019 to put together the 65th Fair are feeling this more than most.

Two weeks ago we made the heartbreaking decision to cancel the 2020 Fair, but it didn't stop at the announcement. The committee are still working with Sponsors, exhibitors entertainers etc as,even though the Fair hasn't taken place there are still costs that have to be met, stallholder fees to be returned, contracts with entertainers to be paid.

This is not an easy task.

What does it mean?? We are not sure yet, but the picture will become clearer over the next few weeks.

Some sponsors have been amazing and said to us just rollover our sponsorship to next year. Believe us there is a lot of behind the scenes negotiations that are taking place.

Be assured the Fair Committee has a passionate desire to have Fair 2021 take place. The dates are set Friday 26 and Saturday 27 March.

If you are planning an event next year please be mindful of these dates and not clash or plan a large community event within at least a month of this iconic event. Lets be fair to each other and our Community members.

Stay safe and self isolate as much as you possibly can.

🌟🎉 SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT 🍿✨
While the whole world seems to be shutting down and announcing cancellations...we are very excited to say we have something BRAND NEW coming to the Goldfields for the first time ever!

As many would have heard our community fair has been cancelled and as such our venue for our annual popular vote art prize has vanished.

So with all this self-isolation time at home and without wanting to create physical crowds...we are going digital!

More details coming soon but for now, don’t stop work on your Fair art prize entries, keep going and keep creating new work. We can’t wait to tell you more.
