Established in 2006 by Sharon Greatorex, the Kalgoorlie Dance Academy offers classes for fun, fitness and the serious student. Teaching girls and boys aged 2 years to teenagers and adults our aim is to not only teach dance but to create a friendly and positive environment whic

h will enable an individual's coordination, confidence, self esteem and social skills to develop and grow. Dance tuition in highland, Irish, classical ballet, modern, jazz, theatrical, tap, lyrical/contemporary, cheerleading, musical theatre and acrobatics. Kalgoorlie Dance Academy is the official location of Ready Set Dance and Ready Set Ballet pre-school programs. The Kalgoorlie Dance Academy is conveniently located in the Kalgoorlie CBD and contains three dance studios with wooden floors, mirrored walls and is fully air-conditioned. Best of luck to our KDA Cheer athletes opening the comp season this weekend in Perth.

We have a number of teams competing and can't wait to see how much they have grown since this comp photo from last year.

Baby Bling, Mini Angels, Mini Majesty and Glitz Girls will compete across Cheer divisions, while Pink Divas, Mini Sparkles and Mini Cherubs will take on the Lyrical and Pom sections.

Chrystelle made the trip over to Gosford, NSW to compete at the International Highland Dancing Festival Australia.

We are so proud of the way she represented KDA and came away with placings in the Pre Championship and Restricted Premier Sections.

Chrystelle was also selected to perform in the opening ceremony with the OzScot Australia Team's Junior Development Squad.

KDA is thrilled whenever we have the opportunity to perform and support the local community. Pictured is a snippet of some of the events we have been at so far this year and plenty more coming in 2026.

Not only is it a chance for our students to perform, but it is also a way to say thankyou to the community who supports us.
