We're sorry to hear that Albany's local Bull Rider Flynn McCullough lost his life before Christmas.
We appreciated the support of all our competitors in the past especially our local ones and it is sad to hear of his passing which we feel has also symbolised the end of an era for the Kalgan Stampede.

We extend our sincere condolences to his family & friends.

“Cowboy” Flynn McCullough has been remembered as a straight-shooting, humble, and helpful young man from the city who fell in love with country WA, eventually winning multiple rodeo titles.

If Someone or a Group is interested in running the Kalgan Stampede this year we are happy to help providing contacts and paperwork to get it over the line.

Double Barrel Entertainment have said they will not be running it this year.

It would be upwards of $120k cost to run the event with a possible profit of $70k+ to a loss of -$60k or worse depending how good the weather is on the day and how well the event is marketed

It needs to be run on the 27th Dec in the afternoon for it to be successful which falls on a Saturday this year (which is a huge positive)

So step up to the plate and put your house on the line and roll the dice with the weather and have fun running a rodeo.

Ok everyone, here is your last chance to keep the dream alive.
Double Barrel Entertainment are putting their world on the line to run the Kalgan Stampede at their own risk and expense.

If you want to see this event continue to run you need to get off your Netflix arse and commit to going to the event.
Why? Because they are willing to give it a go and put it all on the line.
Don't wait until the next year as it won't exist.

Get in there, pre-purchase tickets and support these guys or go watch Show Jumping at the local riding club.

Brucey Brahman will be there walking the arena ready to sort out any naughty kids.
Please don't make this his last rodeo.

Quick Update
Double Barrel Entertainment will be running the Kalgan Stampede on Sat 18th Jan 2025.
We are thrilled they are willing to keep the event going & will share any of their posts about the event from their page. Ask them all the questions as we are focused on getting our Wild West Bowling alley up and running.
Thanks everyone for your support and yes, Brucey Brahman will be there to walk the arena and sort out any naughty kids, belt up the rodeo announcer and chase big tough cowboys who try to saddle up their horse at the the timed end in his holding pen.
