Paradisus Terrestris heads to Wagga Wagga 🍃

A remarkable collection of sculptures by acclaimed Australian artist Fiona Hall AO is coming to Eastern Riverina Arts for two years, thanks to the Albanese Labor Government’s Sharing the National Collection program.

Paradisus Terrestris (1989–90) features 23 intricate works and will be on display at Eastern Riverina Arts, an organisation that partners with eight local councils to foster creative participation and bring the arts to regional communities.

“Amanda Jones spoke out against censorship at her local public library and walked straight into the battle to ban books playing out across the US.”

There are Book Clubs and there are Cook Book Clubs 😋

In 2025, women in particular are turning to book clubs as a way to build friendship and community in an increasingly lonely world.

Congratulations. Wonderful writings

Congratulations to our Year 10 students for their success in the Jugiong Writers’ Short Story Writing Competition. These results were out of 23 students.

Highly Commended #2: Jarrah Newman – Field of Memory
"Jarrah's piece is poetic and atmospheric, using elegance to explore memory, grief, and acceptance. Though less plot-driven, its quiet lyricism and rich imagery elevate it above many others. Jarrah's writing is lush and evocative, immersing readers in a dreamlike landscape of memory & reflection. The language is exquisite and mature, leaving a lasting impression and offering comfort through its calm exploration of grief."

Honourable Mentions

Shyra Sinco – Dream – "Gentle & consoling, offering a sense of peace and closure."
Nicholas James – Not Everything Is What It Seems – "Gripping psychological tension with a compelling soldier's voice."
Emily Tanks – What It's Like – "Poignant hospital recovery narrative with clear emotional arc and strong writing."

We are so proud of your achievements.
