Joondalup Symphony Orchestra is a vibrant and modern orchestra located within the City of Joondalup. Our current repertoire varies from classical to contemporary.

Joondalup Symphony Orchestra (JSO) has two thriving, multi-age, multi-ability orchestras, JSO and JSO Intermezzo. Joondalup Symphony Orchestra: grade 4 and above (AMEB or Suzuki equivalent)

🎶 Join JSO Intermezzo Orchestra 🎶
Our Intermezzo orchestra is welcoming expressions of interest from musicians playing approximately Grades 1-4 (AMEB, Suzuki or equivalent).

Intermezzo brings together a vibrant mix of:
🎻 Young musicians developing their ensemble skills
🎼 Adults returning to music after time away
🎶 Musicians enjoying the opportunity to play a second (or third!) instrument

Many of our players are reconnecting with music after a break, continuing their development, or expanding their musical horizons, all within a supportive and encouraging orchestral setting.

Intermezzo offers a welcoming ensemble experience where musicians build confidence, strengthen their skills, and share the joy of making music together.

Big voices. Big stage. One unforgettable FREE night under the stars ✨🎶
We’re thrilled to reveal the headlining vocalists joining us for Symphony Under the Stars 2026. These outstanding performers will take the stage with JSO for a spectacular live concert celebrating music, community and the City of Wanneroo's 40th birthday, all rolled into one magical summer evening outdoors.

🌟 Gisella Colletti 🌟
A 17-year-old singer songwriter from Perth who placed third on Australian Idol in 2025. She made history with an on the spot Golden Ticket from Marcia Hines and later performed alongside Tina Arena in the Grand Finale and on her Don’t Ask Again tour. Gisella regularly performs at corporate events and debuted her pop R&B single Good Enough live on Channel 7’s Telethon.

🌟 Matt Milford 🌟
A seasoned WA musician and vocalist with more than 30 years’ experience on the Perth live music circuit. Known for his high energy performances, he fronts popular tribute acts celebrating artists such as Bryan Adams, Billy Idol and John Farnham, and holds long running residencies at major Perth venues. Matt is also the owner and operator of Night Owl Studio, a live music and theatre venue supporting local artists and community performance.

🌟 Rachael Coltrona 🌟
A professionally trained singer‑songwriter and musical theatre performer, and a graduate of WAAPA. She made her professional theatre debut in Legally Blonde at Crown Theatre and has since performed extensively with the Joondalup Symphony Orchestra. In 2024, Rachael released her most successful pop single to date, Notting Hill, and will soon release her next song, Everybody’s Doing It.

From powerful pop moments to timeless crowd favourites, this collaboration is set to deliver a night of world-class vocals backed by the full sound of the orchestra. Trust us, you won’t want to miss this one.

The Joondalup Symphony Orchestra and JSO Chorus (proudly supported by City of Joondalup - Government) were proud to be part of this much-loved community celebration presented by the City of Wanneroo!

The atmosphere was buzzing, the audience energy was outstanding, and that drone show was absolutely next level! ✨ A spectacular finale to an already unforgettable evening.

Thank you to the City of Wanneroo and everyone who came along to celebrate music, community and creativity with us. Nights like this are why live music matters 💛
