Lake Light Sculpture Jindabyne

Lake Light Sculpture Jindabyne Lake Light Sculpture is the Snowy Mountains signature autumn event.

Each Easter long weekend, the Jindabyne foreshore comes to life as an open-air gallery of illuminated art - a unique celebration of creativity, community, and light. Lake Light Sculpture is a non-profit, volunteer run annual community event which is delivered by a collaboration of community minded volunteers, businesses, artists and organisations.

A few of the faces behind Lake Light Sculpture 🌙

While the event was running, this group was busy behind the scenes keeping things on track. Lake Light is managed by a fully volunteer committee - a group of locals who give up their time to make it all happen.

We didn’t capture everyone, but a special mention to:
Dani Kell (Chair)
Rachael Howie (Secretary)
Bruce Marshall (Treasurer)
Sue McEwan (Sponsorships & Volunteers)
Dan Kroenert (Operations & Event Logistics)
Alandra Swain (Event Marketing & PR)
Cameron McKid (Operations)
Steve Cuff (PR & Print)
Anwan Keeling (Art Director)
Scott Frize (Schools)

And a thank you to Rhiannon for your support behind the scenes ✨

Did you make it to Lake Light this year? 🌙 What a special weekend it was.

As a community-run event, your feedback really matters - it helps us secure funding and continue improving the experience year after year.

If you attended, we would love you to take a moment to complete our post-event survey (it can be done anonymously) ✨

We’ve been waiting to share this one… ✨ Over the weekend, a beautiful couple stopped by for a chat with our team after spending time with Bedrock by Dan Ambrusch. They loved seeing how much joy it brought - and wanted to honour Lake Light’s first ‘local award’ winner (proudly supported by Airbnb).

So much so, they’ve offered to purchase the piece anonymously, on the condition it remains in the park for the community to enjoy.

Safe to say, there were a few tears.

We’re now working with Dan and Council to find the right place for it.

A very special outcome - it’s a beautiful reminder of what can happen when art, place and community come together.

A big thank you to David Doyle, who travelled to be with us and brought along 10 pieces - the most from any single artist on the foreshore.

David’s work has brought so much joy over the weekend, with many pieces already finding new homes.

You’re a legend, David - we can’t wait to see what you bring next year.

Some artworks are still available - if you’d like to take a piece of Lake Light home, jump online to explore. 🌙✨
