Rehearsals are underway for our Christmas Concert 2026 🎶

This year’s program will take us on a musical journey from the grandeur of Bach, to carols from near and afar, including Australian favourites, and works by Britten, Rutter, Holst and Saint-Saëns.

And to finish, some much-loved carols for everyone to sing together. ✨

We’re looking forward to sharing more of the music, rehearsals and stories behind the program as the concert approaches.

Meet our conductor: Peter Bandy

With a distinguished career spanning choral, orchestral, opera and ballet, Peter Bandy has conducted major ensembles across Australia and New Zealand, including Opera Australia, The Australian Ballet and the Melbourne Youth Orchestra.

He has worked with celebrated artists including Dame Joan Sutherland and James Galway, and remains deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of musicians and conductors.

Since 2011, Peter has led Heidelberg Choral Society with excellence, energy and artistry , bringing great choral works to life for Melbourne audiences.

Join us under Peter’s baton for Handel’s Solomon on Sunday 16 August at 2:30pm at the Performing Arts Centre, Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School.
