Experience the magic of live theatre at the 2026 Ipswich One Act Play Festival!

For 70 years, theatre groups from across Queensland and beyond have gathered at Ipswich Little Theatre to share powerful stories, unforgettable performances, and a little friendly competition. This beloved festival showcases a diverse mix of short plays, emerging talent, seasoned performers, and creative storytelling all in one incredible weekend.

Join us from 7–9 August at the Incinerator Theatre and discover why the Ipswich One Act Play Festival has earned a reputation as one of the friendliest and best-organised festivals on the South East Queensland circuit.

Tickets are now on sale for DAFFODIL

Before taking to the South East Queensland Drama Festival Circuit, Ipswich audiences will have the chance to see a special preview performance of DAFFODIL on Saturday 25 July at 7:30pm.

According to John, Cecilia is unwell. She needs rest, she needs air, she needs to be less of.. herself. Plagued with what is perceived to be hysterics and “temporary nervous depression”, they retreat to a summer house on the New England coast in hopes of allowing her to find the peace needed to get better; to become a better wife, mother, citizen.

What she finds instead is a small room with deceitfully foul yellow wallpaper… and a story told far too many times.

Written by E.M. Lark, DAFFODIL is a haunting and deeply human one-act drama.

Join us for this special one-night-only preview performance and support ILT as we prepare to represent the theatre on the festival circuit!
