(Retro) CAT Racing (Briggs Motorsport) - 2001 - Car #600 - Driven by:- John Bowe

Australian motorsport legend John Bowe drove for John Briggs Motorsport (originally PAE Motorsport) in the Supercars Championship from 1999 to 2001. He raced the Caterpillar-backed #600 Ford Falcon AU.

The relationship between Bowe and Briggs deteriorated late in the 2001 season following a turbulent Bathurst 1000 where co-driver Simon Wills crashed late in the race. Bowe was replaced by Wills for the final rounds of the championship.

Newest Retro I have completed.

In 2013, Dick Johnson Racing (DJR) overcame a financial crisis to stabilize with Wilson Security backing after ex driver John Bowe offering his backing of them to DJR.

Round 1-3 New Zealand driver Jonny Reid was in Car #12. With Ford Performance Racing (FPR) in techincally alliance with DJR they offered DJR the use of Chaz Mostert from there Super 2 program with his engineer Adam DeBorre.

Chaz and Adam both immediately impressed, securing a breakthrough win at Queensland Raceway in just his fourth event for the team, marking the first win for DJR since 2010.

This win was considered a "fairytale" result for the struggling team, providing a massive boost in morale and aiding in securing the team's future.

While the team struggled early in the year, Mostert's addition mid-season brought improved results, and he was highly praised by team icon Dick Johnson before at the end of 2013 he headed back to FPR for a full time drive in 2014.

Well it was time for a freshen up for team APEX Esports League in there V8 Supercars for the GEN 3. In this post is there new Normal Liveries, Star Wars themed and ANZAC ones they ran just recently.

Well tonight saw APEX Esports League Rnd 3 Supercars at Daytona International Speedway on Oval. I ran a Spaceballs Inspired Livery for Star Wars Day(May the 4th Be With You) today in tonights round.

I managed to place the 266 SIM RACING Mustang on POLE. The safety car that ended on last lap I was placed 8th and got a awesome restart and jumped to 4th. The the guy in 3rd that I passed on last corner turned down on me on purpose pushing me back to 6th overall.

Thanks to Xcelerate Sim Racing gents Wayne Walker, Andrew Rushworth & Mick Clifton for allowing me to work with them in Qualifying and the race.

In 2003, Marcos Ambrose continued to drive the PIRTEK sponsored Falcon, with Russell Ingall recruited to drive the Caltex car. SBR was the dominant force, with Ambrose winning the championship and Ingall finishing seventh. Between them they won eight of thirteen rounds (6 to Ambrose, 2 for Ingall).

This year Bathurst Entry saw them combine and run a combined livery of there separate cars across both Car #4 & #9 for the Enduro season.

Was asked by my team to create them our ANZAC day Tribute liveries. Three versions were created for them with ARMY, AIR FORCE & NAVY being the back layer for those who have family or friends in different brands and wanted to rerpresent them.
