During COVID, I developed a slight obsession with succulents.

Actually, it was more than slight. I became so obsessed that I started a little business called Crafty Little Succas

I was mesmerised by their structure—the repetition of the leaves, their colours, textures and incredible symmetry. I loved their resilience too. The way a tiny cutting could grow roots, regenerate and begin again.

Many succulents already resemble flowers, but when they bloom, they reveal something even more extraordinary.

I discovered this particular beauty at the Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens. I didn’t catch its name, but I remember being completely captivated by its form.

My phone is filled with photos and videos of succulents as I capture them wherever I go, and lately they have been inspiring a new wave of creative ideas—exploring structure, identity, growth and the quiet strength found in nature.

Nature really is the most extraordinary artist.

What a fantastic conversation I had with April Mahoney on her podcast On the Edge with April.

We talked about so many things close to my heart — art, creativity, purpose, branding, showing up, and the importance of bringing more creativity into our everyday lives.

And how amazing is it that we can do this?

I was sitting in my little comfy studio in Springfield, Southeast Queensland, on my Monday, chatting across the Pacific to California on their Sunday. Two people on opposite sides of the world, simply connecting and sharing stories.

I’m so grateful to April for giving me the platform to share a little of my journey, and to talk about how creativity has helped me personally — not only to find the confidence to show up more fully, but also to create connection and impact through the work I do.

Creativity really can be so much more than making art. ❤️

Have a listen to the full conversation via the link below. I’d love to know what resonates with you.

So...I don't post for months and today I am posting 2 things! That's kind of how the creative juices flow (other creatives will understand!).

The key takeaway from this video is to ... Just do it! Don't make creating feel like something you 'have' to do but rather something you get to do. And take the pressure off yourself. Simply, don't overthink it.

That's all from me for now. I will be in the studio if you need me!

“Your life does not need to look perfect to be beautiful. It just needs to be lived with grace and gratitude.” — Hue Kedge

Sometimes we spend so much of our lives trying to make everything perfect. Trying to have it all figured out, to be further ahead, to hold everything together beautifully. But perhaps the real beauty of life has never been in its perfection. Perhaps it is in the living of it — the messy seasons, the unexpected turns, the quiet moments, the people we love and all the little things we so easily forget are actually gifts.

From a very young age, I learned the power of gratitude. It has become a thread woven through the way I try to see the world and the way I choose to live within it. Because no matter what season we find ourselves in, there is almost always something beautiful to notice, something to hold a little closer, something to be thankful for.

And sometimes, all it takes is the smallest shift in perspective. Instead of “I have to,” we say “I get to.” I get to work. I get to create. I get to love people. I get to dream, grow, begin again and experience this beautifully imperfect life.

What a privilege it is simply to be here, living it.

Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. Sometimes, we just need to slow down long enough to notice that it already is. 🤍

It has been months since I posted here—and even longer since I made intentional space for my own creativity. Today, I finished recording a podcast conversation about creativity, identity and impact. It reminded me just how powerful creativity can be when we give it the time and space it deserves.

Over the past year, much of my energy has gone into creating opportunities for others, building community through Creative Hearts Co. , and growing Branding Profiles . I love this work deeply, but the pull to return to my own art has been getting louder, and louder.

So, as my businesses continue to grow, I am also making a conscious commitment to rebuild HUE The Artist and make creativity part of my life again—not something I keep placing at the bottom of the list. There is so much more I want to explore, create and share.

Watch this space. I’m looking forward to bringing more colour, texture, beauty and meaning back into your newsfeed ❤️
