New Class By Request: Lucet Braiding and Viking Knitting.
If you are looking for a new yarn craft for the winter or want to make your own jewelry without the complexity of smithing and forging, these two ancient craft skills are easy to learn and lend themselves to a thousand different projects.
This class is open to all learners, and all materials are provided.

In developing this workshop, I have sourced a variety of materials and tools, so each crafter can collaborate and create unique items. If you are experiencing limited dexterity and have reluctantly put aside your knitting or crochet, I am working on adaptations to make this class accessible to all.
If a berserker Viking who lost half his fingers on the shores of Lindisfarne can still braid, you can try it too.

New location for 2Bluebirds and a new class for me, next weekend we tackle the timeless crafts of Lucet cord and viking knitting. We will be working with a variety of materials, including cords, cottons, jewellery wire, twine and beads to make a variety of projects.

Our annual Artists Books exhibition is coming up. There are some exceptional entries by local and interstate artists.
Opening night is Thursday the 21st
6pm to 8pm. All welcome.
The gallery will be open 10am to 3pm Thursday to Sunday for this exhibition.

So we got a call back from the QLD RSPCA confirming our address this morning to get our Free Cat Grass Seeds!

Free is the best kind of bargain and I know that the RSPCA is a wonderful organisation, since it was an RSPCA re-homing centre where I met Momo.
Thanks to all the workers and volunteers at RSPCA QLD, as well as the amazing team at AWL Ipswich, who dedicate their time and energy and heart to helping animals. If you dont have the time or money to donate or volunteer for an animal welfare centre, consider cleaning out your old linen, towels and blankets to donate, and get all the dopamine of spring cleaning while helping furry little gremlins that take over your life when you least expect it.

And now, on the promise of Catgrass arriving by post, Momo guards the door.....and waits.....
