At the start of this year a group of Fawkes Theatre Co. members came together to form a writer’s room dedicated to the creation of a new theatrical work. Since then we’ve been hard at work developing, drafting and editing, and after 8 or so months of hard work we are excited to be in a position to share the results.
Introducing: ‘Kubu! King of Tasmania’ From the minds of Fawkes’ very own emerging playwrights, comes this madcap romp through a land not so far far away! It follows the riches-to-rags-to-riches adventure of the Illustrious King Kubu as he finds himself stripped of the carefree and cushy life of his upbringing and lost far afield in the most desolate and alien reaches of his former kingdom.
We will be having a playreading of the script next Friday so please join us then at 7:30pm in the Annexe Theatre Drama Studio
