🛋️ Domestic Bulky Waste Collection – Bingara & Warialda 🚛

14 to 18 September 2026

Here’s what you need to know:
• Waste should be placed on the kerbside no later than Sunday 13 September 2026 as collection will commence 6:30am, Monday 14 September 2026.
• Residential properties only and areas that would get regular waste collection in Bingara and Warialda.
• Collection will occur over multiple days during the week.
• Items placed out after 13 September may not be picked up, as the collection truck will make multiple scheduled runs to collect specific types of waste. For example, the truck will collect all fridges/freezers etc in one run, then the next day collect green waste.
• Anything left after the collection week was deemed unsuitable and will remain the responsibility of the resident.
• Only 3 cubic metres of waste per household.

𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥

Inverell Shire Council wishes to advise that part of the footpath at Lake Inverell will be temporarily closed while work on the Lake Inverell Enhancement Project is conducted.

Work will be conducted from Monday 24th August until Friday 4th September, weather permitting.

During this time the existing footpath will be closed to pedestrians from approximately half way along the path to the end.

The reserve facilities, boardwalk, observation deck and kayak launch will remain open.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.

FIRE PERMITS SUSPENDED – THURSDAY 3rd September until MONDAY 7th September
due to the forecast High Fire Danger, all fire permits in Inverell, Tentrerfield and Glen Innes LGA's are suspended from midnight today until Midnight Monday morning.
This measure is being taken to reduce the risk of fires starting and spreading under the heightened fire conditions.
If you currently hold a fire permit, you are unable to light new fires or stoke up existing fires during the suspension period. Please ensure any planned burns or activities requiring a permit are postponed.
Failure in complying with this suspension WILL result in heavy fines.
