Stirling Players is now seeking directors for our exciting 2027-2028 program - three productions in 2027 and two in early 2028!

We’re seeking bold, creative directors to bring full-length plays, one-acts, or musicals to the stage. Whether it’s a classic, contemporary drama, comedy or musical - if it has heart, fresh ideas and unforgettable characters, we want it!

🎭 Stirling Players is thrilled to announce AUDITIONS for our September 2026 production of Jake’s Women, Neil Simon’s witty, heartfelt comedy about love, memory, and the women who shape one man’s life.

Directed by Naomi Capon, this sharp, funny, and deeply touching play is a wonderful showcase for actors of all ages, blending sparkling comedy with genuine emotional warmth. ❤️

The Central Role – Jake
Jake is a successful novelist in his mid-40s to 60s — a man far more at ease creating fictional worlds than dealing with the complexities of real relationships. This is a substantial, demanding leading role that requires strong comedic timing, emotional depth, vulnerability, charm and the ability to carry much of the show.

Female Roles
Seven terrific female roles spanning a range of ages. These characters offer a rich mix of comedic flair, dramatic moments, and memorable scene work - perfect for showcasing versatility and talent. 👏

Stirling Players is thrilled to announce AUDITIONS for our September 2026 production of Jake’s Women, Neil Simon’s witty and heartfelt comedy about love, memory, and the women who shape one man’s life.

Directed by Naomi Capon, this sharp, funny, and touching play offers fantastic roles for a range of ages and talents.

The Central Role – Jake
Jake is a successful novelist in his mid-40s to 60s who is more comfortable creating fictional worlds than navigating real-life relationships. This is a large, demanding leading role requiring strong comedic timing, emotional depth, and the ability to carry much of the show. It’s a rewarding challenge for an actor who can portray vulnerability, charm, humour, and introspection.

Female Roles
There are seven female roles for a variety of ages. These roles offer a wonderful mix of comedic and dramatic moments.
