Vale Donald Merton Mitchell.
3 August 1938 – 21 August 2026,
aged 88.

Horsham Arts Council mourns the passing of one of our founding members and valued Life Member, Don Mitchell.

A performer, a poet, a painter and a wonderful friend, Don gave so much to the performing arts communities of the Wimmera. We at the Horsham Arts Council were privileged to have Don as a member of our organisation.

Our thoughts are with Life Member Jan Morris, his loving wife, and to the wider Morris and Mitchell families as they mourn Don’s passing.

For those wishing to attend, the funeral of Don Mitchell will be held on Wednesday September 2 at 1.30pm, at St Andrew’s Uniting Church.

Any past or present HAC members who are attending the funeral are invited to join in a guard of honour for Don to honour and celebrate his life.
