band are a young band with indie vibes. They get inspiration from artists like Unwound, Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth, Audioslave, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus, Car Seat Headrest, Radiohead, and Third Eye Blind.

The band consists of Noah on the bass, Gideon playing guitar, Tom on the drums, and Jack with lead vocals.

ARTIST SHOWCASE 2026 — OPTIC

Next up in our April 18th Showcase lineup is Optic!

With a mix of Punk drumming, filthy riffs, and dangerous vocal hooks, .mp3 are the freshest, most energetic band in all of Melbourne. They’re currently working on their super cool and epic debut EP; “All cops are beautiful”, which is a display of their unique sound, inspired by the likes of alternative and brit-rock music from the early 2000s, coupled with heavier themes from bands like blink-182 and QOTSA. Their original music introduces a fresh new sound into the scene and is definitely worth checking out.
