For years I have wanted to tell you all about my Uncle Ray who helped me see life through a different lens. So here it is… He was not just my uncle but also my mentor / life coach and friend. He was inspiring and uplifting he was a cabinetmaker, teacher, and Sensei who ran his own Dojo. We grew up together. Later in life he helped me look inwards and encouraged me to be courageous and keep creating bravely. I kept waiting for the perfect picture of us all dressed up to share with you but it wasn’t to be. Last month his life was cut short and we still do not know why, on Friday we said our goodbyes to him, surrounded by his family, friends, neighbours, fellow teachers and students. Still in shock and I’ll miss him dearly we were very alike and had planned to work together on some projects. I will miss our hours of chatting on the phone and his infectious laugh, positive attitude and humour. I say this in acknowledgment of all he did and was. Eternally grateful 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I was so blessed to have had him in my life. 💝
