The first of the ogoh-ogoh mask making workshops is this Sunday from 1.30 - 3pm. Only $25 / $15 and a heap of fun! They are on every Sunday arvo until 21st June (except 14th June). Book online!

Ogoh-ogoh Mask making was SO much fun last year and it's on again! Only $25 for adults and $15 for kiddos. The sessions starts 26 April from 1.30 - 3pm.

Back by popular demand!

These mask making workshops were huge fun and a great hit last year. We kick off again Sunday 26 April 1.30 - 3pm, culminating in a post-workshop party before the parade on 21st June. Best to book two sessions at least unless you're s super speedy mask-maker. For kids aged 8+ and adult kids of all ageas, and only $15 / $25 p/p thanks to sponsorship from the ogoh-ogoh project.

At the winter solstice thousands of people come together to carry through the streets and then burn a giant paper mache Tasmanian animal. Made by artists in Bali and called an ogoh-ogoh, the creature is filled with our written fears. We burn the fears together in a glorious ceremony on June 21st. Ev...

I've just had someone cancel for this wonderful 2 day workshop with Sue Lovegrove that starts tomorrow - it's been booked out for weeks. Sue is not only a superb artist she is one of the best teachers I know. If you're keen jump on and book pronto!

Summer School at Archaica Schola continues! Coming up for the adults (ages 16+) is a 5 hour intro to colour mixing on Tuesday 13th Jan with Yvette.

One Saturday and Sunday 17th & 18th January we have the very excellent Michael Nay running a 2 day Collage Strategies for Painters workshop.

For the kiddos, book illustrator Jedda Robaard is running a Draw and Paint a Platypus in watercolour session on Thursday 15th Jan.

Summer school at Archaica Schola continues and some sessions are already booked out or getting close to it!!

We have two fabulous workshops coming up: Thursday 8th January the wonderful Leigh Rigozzi will pass on his skills in working with gouache, and then we have Cath Robinson's ceramics workshop showing how to hand build a teapot running on the Saturday and Sunday (10th and 11th). Still some spots left in these two.
