Happy World Lindy Hop day!! To celebrate we shared some of Frankie Manning's story and favourite moves (Frankie 6's, head pecking promenades, huppa-dahs), and danced to Shiny Stockings. Lots of big smiles and our own local OG dancer.

COME LEARN TO LINDY HOP WITH US!

Lindy Hop is probably the most well known of the “Swing dances” - an umbrella term for a number of amazing dances that developed with the swinging jazz music of the 1920-1950s+. It's a joyous, dynamic dance that encourages creative expression & connection, and a culture that celebrates community & inclusivity .

Tasswing holds beginner classes every Wednesday, 6:30pm @ The Polish Hall, New Town.

WEDNESDAY NINIGHTH HOP News
We have decided to halt the Wednesday Night monthly Hop. Social dancing is such an important and joyous part of swing dancing so we are reassessing what our community wants in its place. If you yourself are thinking of running a social event and need some pointers or help, then we encourage you to reach out to Scott or other’s in Tasswing community! Don't forget there is an active "Social Dancers of Hobart" Facebook chat and the TasSwing page does its best to promote local live music dance gigs, so there should still be plenty of social dancing opportunities out there. (read below for more info)

MONTHLY DISCOUNTED CLASS BUNDLES
Without the Wednesday Night Hop, there are more classes, which means the prices for out bundles have changed. But they still remain the best deal around!

BRING A FRIEND INITIATIVE
Starting this month, TasSwing are introducing our "Bring a Friend Loyalty Program". Like most loyalty cards, if you bring friend, we will stamp your card at the door. When you have collected enough stamps, you can choose from a selection of rewards including, discounted classes, TasSwing merch, discounted event tickets and more. See Relle and Scott at the door for more details.
