Things are getting a little spooky at the TSO… 👻

This Halloween, Mini TSO are swapping their concert blacks for costumes and getting ready for a morning of spooky tales and scary songs.

Come dressed as your favourite Halloween character and join in the fun as our musicians bring a playful mix of music and mischief to the stage. Costumes encouraged, little monsters welcome 🎃

Halloween Spooktacular is a family friendly introduction to live orchestral music, with plenty of fun along the way.

Meet the four voices of Messiah 🎶

Soprano Lisa Crosato, mezzo-soprano Ashlyn Tymms, tenor Andrew Goodwin and bass-baritone Christopher Richardson join the TSO and TSO Chorus for our end of year performance of Handel’s Messiah.

Together, they bring a wealth of opera, oratorio and concert experience to the stage, with Warren Trevelyan-Jones leading the full orchestra and chorus.

Radiohead, Mozart, Sufjan Stevens and The Who walk into the Odeon…

Turns out, it works.

Our first Live Sessions at the Odeon brought TSO strings into one of Hobart’s great live music rooms for a night of familiar music, unexpected combinations and plenty of personality 🎻

Jono kept things moving between pieces with musical tidbits and, naturally, a few questionable dad jokes.

Thanks to everyone who joined us around the tables, in the stalls and up in the balcony.

Think you know orchestral music? Think again.

Treat Dad to a paddock-to-plate dinner and a drink on arrival, while TSO brass and percussion fill the fire-lit barn.
